Chichas sleeping in his Hibiscus bush
As I write this short blog this is the sight I am seeing out the front door. I will still be seeing this as I post it later on the LRFF website www.lrff.org on Roberta’s Forest Blog page.

Just three weeks ago I gave the Reico S.A. company in San Jose, Costa Rica a call about collaborating on getting wireless Internet service here at LRFF headquarters. Since 2005, the founding of LRFF, we have done all of our online work at Internet cafes or other wi-fi installations. I spoke with the director of Reico, Miguel Solis, who was so kind and anxious to help. He sent 3 technicians out to check and see if Reico could put a repeater at La Reserva in exchange for free Internet service for us here. After they came and checked it out I called Miguel to find out what the verdict was. He explained that it wouldn’t be feasible for them to install a repeater here but they still wanted to donate free, high-speed Internet service to LRFF. But, he said that they were very busy and wouldn’t be able to get out to install it for 15 or 22 days.
After waiting 4 years and carrying my gypsy Mac computer all over hell and gone, what was another 2 or 3 weeks, eh. But low and behold, they came the following week and installed the antenna and other equipment. That’s why I am sitting here working online and babysitting Chichas at the same time.
Thank you a million times over to this great, generous company for helping us at LRFF. Please check out their website at www.reicocr.com This is a very sophisticated and reliable service.
I will now be able to answer your letters on the spot and check out any comments you might leave for any of the blogs I post. So start making my day and comment and above all else………………
