Yes, we released Peluchi, the orphaned Two-toed Sloth baby last Thursday the 14th of May 2009. This was very difficult because we came to feel as though he were a little baby that we were caring for. This blog is a photo log with very few words. No words can describe the love that we felt for this little guy. We also have a movie that I will edit and post on YouTube for all of you to see.

Yes, he’s back after roaming around our yard for five days. Guess he missed all of the tender leaves, Hibiscus flowers and hard-boiled eggs that we make available to him here.

After Barry and Jeff left, Daniel and I had to finish looking at all of the other properties participating in the carbon project. We started, on this first day, with some properties that were nearby. Our logic was that we could accomplish this task in no time since we only had half a day.

Today at the La Reserva headquarters our friend, Elberth Vargas Masis from the local MINAET office showed up at our doorstep with a gift. He had just rescued a Two-toed Sloth that was clinging to the side of the Seguro Social clinic in Tilaran. He wanted to know if it would be alright to release him in our forest reserve and we were happy to oblige.
