Here is a practice that came to me several years ago during my daily meditation. I’ve been doing this at every opportunity since 2008. My friend, Sudram, built a one year website around it because we knew that the more people practicing this the more healing energy we can put into the Earth and hopefully nurture her back to health. Here is the illustration I made back then and pardon the poor art.
It is simple. When you are in a relaxed position, either sitting on a chair, lying flat (although you can fall asleep this way) or on the ground with your legs crossed, tune into the life force energy within you. Some people feel it as a wave like action and others as a pulsation. It is traveling along the life force channel or shushumna and it is along the spinal column physically. The chakras are located along this channel as well. This life force energy is running right through them coming down from JAH (God or Source) through the crown chakra at the top of the head. I know that in the spiritual practices we are told to bring that energy up from the root chakra and out through the third-eye or crown chakra, but in this instance we want to feel and allow the energy to simply use us as a channel to flow down into the Earth. Let the energy flow down and envision it going all the way down to the heart of the Earth and beyond. All the way through and out the other side. Then send this same energy out along the gridlines of the Earth. See and feel the energy traveling in all directions of the Earth. These grid lines are on the surface of the Earth. so you are touching all the life upon her in this way.
If you are sitting with legs crossed on the Earth then the energy is exiting you via your root chakra or genitalia. If you are sitting on a chair or standing the energy is flowing through your feet into the Earth. Lying down the center, from navel to hips is involved. Please practice this for a as long as you can during your regular meditation times. When you’ve practiced this enough you will be able to simply think about it during your regular daily hours and feel the energy going into her from your feet. One very important point, you must be completely without emotion during the practice. We are simply the vessel for this great work of healing our Earth. If you are feeling negative then it is best not to practice this.
The Earth picture that I have drawn is not for scientific purposes and I have only put the South American continent on it so that I could put myself in Costa Rica there. You must forgive me my bad art, but I hope it illustrates the meditation.
